About the Church and Staff
 Christ Community Church started in 1977 by a group of people who wanted a deeper walk with God. They wanted to experience a fresh move of God's Spirit. Now in its 26th year Christ Community Church has began to reach out to the Community of Watonga. Touching people with the Love of God. Showing them that God will except people where they are today and challenge them to become all God wants them to be tomorrow. Knowing that God has designed them a destiny. Our purpose is to love them to complete health, Spirit Soul and Body, then help plug them into the destiny of their lives.
Senior Pastor Barak (Dusty) Giles moved to Watonga, OK in Feb. of 1998. Pastor Giles grew up in Denver, CO where he lived in a pastor's home. He became a Christ seeker at the age of seven. Early in his young life he knew that ministry would be part of his destiny. Pastor Giles went to a private school from fourth grade until graduating high school. While there he studied the scriptures every day for an hour. Under the guidance of his father, Pastor Giles began to follow the long history of his family preparing for his destiny of serving the church. Pastor started to minister to the church when he was sixteen. Traveling from church to church teaching the young people about Jesus. Pastor Giles came to Watonga with a dream to see our community grow not only spiritually but socially and economically. After five years the church keeps growing with excitement about the vision of Loving, Accepting and Forgiving people. Pastor Giles believes that people "do not care what you know until they know how much you care." The church has grown from 20 people to 80 and continues to pick up momentum.
Pastor Theresa Giles has spent her life serving children. The love that drives her is to see a child growing up to be a wonderful asset in their community. Training them to love Jesus in every area of their lives. Pastor Theresa has been married to Pastor Giles for eighteen years. Seeing her interact with her own two children shows the love she has for kids. Now that her two are in their teenage years she has taken on the task of being a foster parent. Her husband at first not sure about the idea Theresa continued to entertain the idea of caring for other children in their home. Since Jan of 2000 over twenty children have passed through their home. Pastor Theresa shows the same passion for the children of the church. Taking them and guiding them to grow up to love Jesus. She oversees the childrens ministry at Christ Community Church. The DEEP ZONE - is where the children start on Sunday Morning with their own radical worship. Then they divide into different classes. Each room is painted with a theme. The Lion's Den is for 4 & 5 year old. Melissa Giles is the teacher in that class. Zion's Park is headed up by Becky McQuire for the 2 & 3 year old. The Lamb's Loft is still under construction for the babies and small toddlers. Paulette Raines lovingly cares for this class. Elementary age children stay in the Deep Zone for fun and exciting teaching.
